The longest duration project Westech has undertaken, the South Taylor Hill is a geotechnically challenging hillside along Hwy 97. Over the years extensive work and multiple investigations have been completed in order to stabilize the slope, reduce the risk of slides, improve road capacity through four-laning, and ensure safer highway design for this critical transportation route. Project Highlights: •Over 2835 M of horizontal drains drilled •100’s of SI installs with VWP’s •Completed deep installations up to 200 M •Over 20 mobilizations with track units •Deployment of multiple rigs for program durations of 3 weeks, up to 3 months at a time •Completed drill programs in all seasons, including spring breakups
