Position: Driller's Assistant
Responsibilities:
The driller's assistant reports to the lead hand and/or Senior Driller. The DA is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Assisting drillers in completion of site activities such as site setup, support equipment operation, drilling, equipment maintenance, and site cleanup
- Maintaining safe work practices at all times
- Working closely with the client providing samples or other assistance as required
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license holder with a clean abstract
- Good communication skills
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work out of town regularly
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts in the field anywhere from one to three weeks.
- Ability to work outdoors year-round, performing hard manual labour
- Strong work ethic
- Mechanical ability an asset
